Bent washer holding out

The hour in the kitchen at midnight last night is paying off. The bent washer is compensating for the bent bracket on the frame and I have the use of the bottom two chain rings. :-)  Thanks to all at the lovely B and B at New Butts Farm, High Bentham, for looking after us (and the bikes) so well.

Hi Simon, Glad to hear that the bent washer is holding up ok. I really enjoyed riding with you yesterday (Saturday). Would loved to have gone further with you. Thanks to Jane also, for providing the excellent picnic lunch. Simon, if it helps, try slackening the 'Bottom' adjustment screw as you look at the front derailleur by a quarter turn at a time. This should help move the chain towards the large chainwheel.
Good luck to all of you. I'll be watching the blog closely. Dave Wild
