Thanks to an early commitment of support from Yorkshire Forward, ruralnet|uk is able to confirm that its next annual conference and exhibition will be held in Yorkshire on 12-13 October 2005.
Andy Tordoff, Head of Rural Renaissance and Tourism at Yorkshire Forward said,
"We are delighted to be hosting ruralnet|2005 in our region next year. This event has become a key part of the rural regeneration calendar by delivering innovative ideas and challenging the status quo. We will be liaising with ruralnet|uk to ensure this is the most innovative and challenging event ever.
"We will also be working to ensure that delegates get the most out of their visit to our region."
Simon Berry, ruralnet|uk's Chief Executive added,
"It is tremendous to have an early commitment from the principal sponsor and means that work can start straight away on the design and development of the event to make it as inclusive and relevant as possible for rural regeneration."
Delegates from previous events have already started booking for ruralnet|2005 to take advantage of the offer to book for 2005 at 2004 prices. The precise venue and theme of the conference and exhibition will be announced early in the year together with an early-bird discount offer. The full programme with speakers and facilitators will be available early summer 2005.
ruralnet|2005 will build on the experience of running the event over the last four years but most importantly on the feedback received from previous delegates. Networking, participation, innovation, inspiration and motivation are the keywords. Delegates who have taken time out for the conference before find they return to their role with renewed vigour.
As usual the event will feature an in-depth special supplement and will be supported by a cybercafe. A wireless cloud will allow delegates to network using their own computer equipment. As with previous ruralnet|uk conferences, all delegates will be online after the event, through ruralnet|online so that the networking, knowledge sharing and collaboration can continue long after the face-to-face event ends.
