ruralnet|uk are pleased to confirm support for their annual conference, ruralnet|2005. The Post Office joins the principal sponsor, Yorkshire Forward, the Regional Development Agency (RDA) for the Yorkshire region, where the conference is being held this year. EEDA (East of England Development Agency) has also just confirmed sponsorship of the event, for the third year running.
The conference will be held on 12-13 October 2005 at the Ramada Jarvis Hotel, Golden Acre Park, Bramhope, Yorkshire and will focus on the theme: Expanding Contracting – How to Thrive in the New Contract Culture. It will deal with the changing relationships between the various sectors in the delivery of services to rural communities. This will be supplemented with workshops on Broadband, Rural Services Delivery, Community Safety, Sustainable Funding and Diversity in Rural Areas. A Rural Affairs panel will be facilitated by Tom Heap, the BBC News Rural Affairs Correspondent.
This year, the Post Office is sponsoring the first day morning supplement which will focus on rural services. Sue Huggins, General Manager - Rural Agency Network, the Post Office said,

Delegates came from all countries of the UK and included the key rural regeneration decision and policy makers, representatives of the public, private, voluntary and community sectors.
