ruralnet|uk is today pleased to launch NALC Online – the new online network for the National Association of Local Councils (NALC). This secure online area will be used by members of NALC throughout the UK to share information and access resources including Experts Online - the panel of experts who will answer questions on various topics, xPRESS Digest - the daily regeneration and funding news e-bulletin, and shared areas tailored to NALC’s needs.
The need for the Extranet facility has been driven forward by the NALC Executive Committee, who in light of the emphasis on effective communication in their Development Strategy, wish to progress with this key area of work.
The NALC Online network has been implemented as a ‘petal’ on Networks Online so that NALC have access to all the resources on the system as well as access to over 2 700 users, but still with its own collaborative spaces. For more information about Networks Online and its members please go to www.networksonline.org.uk
Sue Margetson, ruralnet|uk Project Manager – NALC said,
“NALC Online is designed to be simple and easy to use, whilst still being based on the current NALC structure. We hope NALC Online will be a great success and a useful tool for all users”.
