Small Warwickshire-based businesses can now book places on the WIRED for Business programme online. Delivered by the rural regeneration charity ruralnet|uk, WIRED is a series of web-related workshops specifically for those who wish to learn more about how to build a presence on the internet. Workshops range from how to put together and manage a website, through to understanding how to use search engine listings, and finally, how to trade online, for example by using Ebay.
The newly revamped website explains what the courses are about, as well as providing costs (£15 per person), latest course dates, and introducing an online booking service.
Sue Margetson, Programme Manager says,
“Many of the small businesses who attend the course are unaware of how a website can be created and maintained. When they leave, they feel that they are either able to create their own web pages, or engage with a web designer in a more knowledgable way.”

ruralnet|uk would like to thank Warwickshire County Council for their support through subsidising the WIRED for Business programme, which has, through this training, helped over 600 micro-businesses in Warwickshire over seven years so far.
