ruralnet|uk, the rural regeneration charity have been commended at the Warwickshire Employer of Choice Awards. Seen as ‘developing’, the steadily expanding organisation has also been encouraged to enter for the award again next year.
The judging panel picked out ruralnet|uk for its obvious caring attitude towards staff and commitment to work-life balance. Development of policies, in consultation with staff and commitment to the team from the Chief Executive Simon Berry were noted as factors contributing to a happy and motivated workforce.
Current working practices include an extensive induction programme and flexible working arrangements such as TOIL, home-working and study leave to suit individual’s circumstances.
ruralnet|uk Company, Secretary David Head said,
"I'm really pleased that we have received recognition through this commendation. It's been a busy and eventful year; we have been growing the team and developing new projects. We cannot do this without motivated people, recognising work-life balance is an important contributor to our success now and in the future.”
