East Midlands Development Agency (emda) is sponsoring the ruralnet|2006 conference.
Rural regeneration charity ruralnet|uk are pleased to confirm that the annual event will be held in the East Midlands region on 10th-12th October 2006.
Held in a different location annually, the ruralnet|conference is now in its sixth successful year. This is the first time the event will be held in the East Midlands. Venue and programme details are soon to be announced.
emda is one of nine Regional Development Agencies in England established in 1999 to bring a regional focus to economic development. There are 12 strands of activity the agency focus on including helping start-up businesses, encouraging community enterprise, promoting tourism, urban regeneration and improving rural services. Since it was first held, the ruralnet|uk annual conference has been sponsored by Regional Development Agencies: South of England Development Agency, by East of England Development Agency for the past three years in succession and last year by Yorkshire Forward, Regional Development Agency for Yorkshire and Humber. Last years event was attended by 230 delegates with 28 exhibitors, and a mobile post office and farmers market demonstration.
