A new website for the West Midlands Forestry Framework (WMFF), designed by ruralnet|uk, is going live today.
Designed by the rural regeneration charity, ruralnet|uk, the website will showcase the framework and delivery plans for woodland and forestry in the West Midlands. Details about the framework - including briefings, studies, etc - are available from this site in downloadable pdf. format.
The website address is: http://www.growingourfuture.org/
In addition, a partner site, accessed through the same portal, will give information about the West Midland Woodland and Forestry Forum, with details of their meetings and the work of their taskgroups.
Browsers can also learn more about the WMWFF and their working methods, as well as download meeting notes, look at the latest news and check out which organisations are members of the forum. In addition, there is a what’s new section, as well as an area for forestry and woodland related events.
Bill Heslegrave of the Forestry Commission says,
"The launch of this new website is a significant event for all the many stakeholders in the West Midlands across both the public and private sectors and indeed for all those interested in our region's trees and woodlands.
The site brings together all the strands of work involved in the delivery of the West Midlands Forestry Framework and provides a mine of up to date information which will raise awareness, make connections and help make more and better things happen. The partner Forum site is a valuable extra dimension which further helps to encourage and co-ordinate activity."
