Ian - you are the first. Now we are two! It was good to speak on the phone. I know we are going to make a great team! Do you know anyone else who'd like to join in for a stage or two?

Simon

Rob Quinn

Hi there,
This sounds like just the thing i've been looking for! I've scheduled/convinced myself to do the whole trip in summer 2008 but was looking to do a half trip this summer (i.e.- Lands End to Yorkshire).

I'd like to join you on the first few stages so if there are any places available please get in touch (email [email protected] and my mobile is 07956 443972). Look forward to speaking to you.
Rob

Andy

Hi there,

I might be interested in doing a couple of days of this. I'm planning on doing LEJOG in 2008 myself. Maybe able to do Whitchurch to Hadfield or possibly up to Ingleton.

Shall check at work if I can get some time off.

Cheers.

Hi Andy - you'd be most welcome. Rob Quinn is also doing a part of the ride as a practice for the real thing next year.

Please feel free to call me if you need to 07932 107109.

Regards

Simon

Simon
Remember we met at Drumnadrochit on your last ride.
I intend joining you for the day between Slaithwaite and Hebden Bridge on 1/9/07.
I have looked at the route and at first thought there were problems crossing the M62 at Scammonden Dam, however I have rece'd it and although it is naggery the only feature which may slow you down is a steep down hill singetrack from Chapel Hill Lane down to the path across the Dam wall. The crossing of the M62 is by tunnel at the west end of the Dam.
I am off to ride it this week.
Best of luck.

I would love to join you on Stage 24 and very possibly Stage 25 on Saturday 01/09/07. Are there still places available on these stages? I have sent an email to you, but am not sure if you have seen it yet.
Please let me know. Thanks Dave Wild

Hi Dave

It would be great to have you along with us. There will be three Moultons on this section now! Rob is also joining us for the Slaithwaite to Hebden Bridge section:

Your fitness levels will be fine I am sure. I think I'm the fittest so if my timings don't daunt you'll be OK!

Are you happy to make a £25 donation to the cause? http://ruralnet.typepad.com/pride2007/2007/04/ways_you_can_su.html

I look forward to meeting you. I'll be in touch again by phone but if you need to talk please phone - I've emailed you my number.

With best wishes

Simon

PS: If you're like me you will love the TSR30 - will this be your first Moulton?

This is the older generation joining in on all this younger enthusiasm! I am Simon's Dad and I live in Startley, North Wiltshire. The house must be on some sort of recognised cycle route as we do get a lot of cyclists passing by. So, I have two of Simon's posters facing each way by the gate. We have noticed a number of cyclists stopping for a read. However, it has netted an even older person than me - our 80 year-old neighbour has donated £5 - oak trees from little acorns grow!
